Showcase Scotland is delighted to welcome Asturias as its international partner for 2027, bringing a longstanding cultural connection into a new phase. Asturian artists have been a valued part of Celtic Connections for many years, and this now marks the first time that Asturias has taken on the role of Showcase Scotland’s international partner. The partnership will shine a light on Asturias’ distinctive traditional music and culture, while creating new opportunities for artists, industry professionals and organisations from both countries to connect, collaborate and build lasting relationships.

We are hugely grateful for the valued support of the Gobierno del Principado de Asturias and Asturias, Paraíso Natural in making this partnership possible. It’s been a pleasure working with our colleagues in Asturias over the last few years to shape the 2027 partnership, and we can’t wait to welcome the delegation and artists to Scotland in January.
